Paul Rivers, Actor

Recently, Paul played leading roles in Edward Albee’s The Goat (Unit 102) and Vaclav Havel’s The Memo (Thought For Food), as well as appearing in The Baby (Storefront Theatre), The Cousins of Corsica (Stratford’s SpringWorks Festival), and Much Ado About Nothing at the historic Spadina House (Single Thread Theatre). Some of his recent on screen credits include Reign, 12 Monkeys, Hemlock Grove, Murdoch Mysteries, Suits, Transporter: The Series, and 45, which he also co-produced.

As Associate Director at Hamilton’s Theatre Aquarius, Paul directed Lawrence & Holloman, MindLands, Never Swim Alone and Whole Lotto Love. In 2003, he directed The Long Christmas Dinner at the Shaw Festival as part of the Directors Project. He has also reviewed new plays and contributed articles for Canadian Theatre Review and served a three-year appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in McMaster University’s Theatre and Film Studies programme, where he taught directing and acting courses.
