Tyler J. Seguin, Director

Tyler is a director, creator and performer. Most recently, Tyler assisted Mitchel Cushman as the assistant director on Treasure Island at the Stratford Festival and worked with the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival as an artistic associate on Antony & Cleopatra and The Three Musketeers. His most recent directing projects include Thought For Food’s Measure for Measure, The Trial of Judith K., and The Memo. In addition to his work with TFF, Tyler has also worked with companies such as the Sudbury Theatre Centre (Mourning Dove, assistant director), Acky-Made (Life List – NOW magazine citation for Best Use of Space, and Yarn) as well as bringing The Cousins of Corsica to Stratford’s SpringWorks Festival.

He has co-created plays such as the puppet-based Handle With Care (Toronto Fringe 2013, NOW Magazine citation for outstanding design), the physical ensemble piece i (winner of Ottawa Fringe’s Patron’s Pick Award), and his site-specific production, Rearview, in which he spent most of his time in the trunk of a moving vehicle.

Tyler is excited to be returning to The Stratford Festival where he will be working as an assistant director on The Tempest.
